My husband
and I hired Bob to come and help us train
our new puppy, Spartan. I, who have never
had a dog, was very interested in learning
the best way to train our dog. Bob showed us
all the proper ways on how to crate train
our dog, walk on the lease, proper playtime
and how to keep our pet safe. Our end result
was amazing, and friends and family couldn't
get over how well behaved our dog was and
how well he listened and followed
directions. We, unfortunately, suffered the
loss of our puppy due to a tumor on his
brain at a very young age. My husband and I
adopted a new puppy, and because of his
traits he was tougher to train using all the
instructions Bob had given us. I contacted
Bob, and had many conversations with him on
our new puppy, the issues we were facing.
Bob came out and we did a whole new training
session with our new puppy, Max. Bob was
great in helping to train us and how to
train our defiant dog. He recommended for
Max that we use a Sportdog training collar,
and thanks to Bob's techniques and the
training collar, Max is a good boy now. I
would absolutely recommend Bob to family or
friends. Bob is also great, if you have any
questions, sending him an email or a quick
call, he is willing to help you in any way
he can! I am happy that we were recommended
Bob thru our Vet, and can't be more thankful
for him and showing us how easy it is to
have a great dog and enjoy everything that
comes with.
Thanks Bob, Sam and Brian Allridge
Hey Bob! I
just wanted to give you an update on Tucker.
Christmas morning I had my whole family over
which includes lots of kids, so I kept Tuck
in his crate but uncovered so he could watch
everyone interact. He whined like he wanted
to come out and play the whole time. The
week between Christmas and New Year’s, my
parents had a lot of people over and he did
very well with everyone out of his crate.
Then on New Year’s Day, the whole family
came over again and I felt confident that he
would be fine with the kids. He stayed at my
feet for awhile and then began to stray away
and lay quietly next to the children and
everyone else. Then yesterday, my sister’s
boys (2 and 6) came over and he was great
with them. He was snuggling with them on the
couch, licking their faces; laying on their
laps…it was incredible. He was begging for
their attention. He has really become a
great dog. Just wanted to update you and say
thanks for everything!

Bob
Staples is without a doubt the go-to trainer
in the Bucks county area. I am the founder
of Lulu's Rescue and we have consulted with
Bob for many of our dogs; dogs needing
everything from the remedial puppy training
[including potty training] to helping dogs
suffering from separation anxiety to dogs
exhibiting fear based aggression. Bob's
almost 30 years in the dog training arena
[as a full time trainer not a part time, on
the side trainer], and the hundreds of
families he has helped, makes him the de
facto expert in dogs and their training. Bob
creates a solid foundation for the family
and the dog to build their lives together
upon and flourish with his training
methodology. Bob works from the premise of
training the family as equally as training
the dog. Bob has helped us keep many dogs in
their forever families giving their human
guardians the tools they need to teach their
pooches with positive reinforcement,
authority, trust, and love. We can't say
enough fantastic things about Bob Staples;
he is absolutely 5 stars all the way around.

I
just wanted to tell you about my love this
weekend! I took him to a friends house in NJ
Saturday for the night which was his first
real interaction with people since bobs
training and another rescue pup was there
and he was outstanding! No aggression at
all. Everyone could pet him and he loved
playing with the other dog. Definitely still
timid and nervous but our bond is so amazing
I helped him through it! I couldn't be
happier right now! He makes me so happy and
I just can't get enough of him. I am so glad
I gave him this second chance. :) And Thanks
Mr. Bob of Bob’s Pet Stop for all your help
and support!!!
Mr.
Bob helped us immensely when we adopted our
1-year-old dog, Maya. He first interviewed
us to see what kind of relationship we
wanted with Maya. He then designed specific
goals for each of our training sessions,
teaching us how to give commands and how to
react when they weren't obeyed. I think this
one-on-one training is so much better than
dog training classes because Bob adapted the
sessions according to Maya's strengths and
weaknesses. Bob really taught how to to be
pack leaders with Maya. We are happier with
her, and she knows she can depend on us.

Bob
first started working with my rescue dog,
Bella, in early 2009. I found Bella at the
SPCA and she was a bit out of control. Bob
achieved wonders in a short period of time
and Bella is now my constant companion and
friend. Bella and I both benefited from
Bob's training session - I would recommend
him to anyone looking to improve or change
behavior patterns in their canine friends!

Mr.
Bob from Bobs Pet Stop worked well with us
and our two dogs, who had very different
personalities, one with a particularly
difficult issue. He showed a depth of
understanding of the dogs and was great to
work with--We had a lot of confidence in his
work with them--and they liked him, too!

Bob
was recommended by family members. Bob
was always on time, courteous and a lot of
fun to be around not only for myself but for
my wife and kids as well, Bob kept everyone
involved with the training, he is very
informative and is an expert in dog
training/behavior. I would highly recommend
only Bob's Pet Stop to anyone looking to
train their Dog. He was exceptional
!!!! Great Value, on time & creative,
personable. Jeff, Oreland, Pa
Bob
is remarkable. I decided to change course on
a long history of raising black labs and try
something a little different - a bluetick
coonhound. Oh no. I couldn't have picked a
more intelligent and stubborn breed. That's
where Bob comes in. Bob came highly
recommended so we quickly secured his
services. What a blessing!
Bob
knows every breed of dog and has trained
thousands...and the dogs trainers as well.
So, he's quite skilled at training both dog
and dog owner. Within two sessions we had
made incredible strides both us and our
stubborn addition. Its quite interesting how
easily and quickly Bob establishes a rapport
and respect with your dog - in an
authoritative fashion yet very warm and
affectionate with the dog. Never seen
anything quite like this. From there,
training sessions are well defined, simple
and easy enough for ongoing training
sessions once Bob has left.
We
had instant and continued results. There
were a number of behavioral challenges which
needed to be addressed. Bob approached them
one at a time and together we have achieved
incredible and lasting results with our
coonhound. Bob's training not only produces
the desired behavior but allows the
personality of your dog to express itself
and be enjoyed.
I
highly endorse Bob for any dog and any
situation. If the answer is not apparent -
which it should be - Bob will easily figure
it out. He is quite talented, a real
pleasure to work with, punctual, supportive
and an overall real gentleman. You'll end up
'loving Bob' as much as you will your dog!

Bob
was instrumental in helping me curtail
several unwanted behaviors that my four year
old Havanese [Colin] was exhibiting ---
pulling behavior, excessive barking. We met
for a consultation and set up several
appointments to work on the targeted
behavior. Bob was great to work with, Colin
responded well to the training sessions, and
I was greatly relieved. I will hire Bob
again, should the need arise. He was
terrific! Mindy From Jenkintown
My
wife and I hired Bob in August of 2010 to
train our yellow Labrador puppy Tucker. Our
experience with Bob has been tremendous. He
took the time to understand our specific
situation and what our priorities were in
terms of training Tucker. He then provided
an easy to understand and easy to execute
overall training framework. After that, we
have worked on something different each
visit and our confidence in being able to
train Tucker has continued to grow. Bob's
strengths are his extensive experience and
his ability to explain techniques in an easy
to understand way. He provides practical
advice and is very flexible to your unique
situation. Tucker has responded extremely
well to Bob's methods and the results have
been spectacular!! In summary, if you
have pet training needs, I would highly
recommend bringing in Mr. Bob's Pet Stop!
Dear Bob, I just cannot thank
you enough for all the help you’ve given me with my dog,
Blaze. After going to several different dog trainers, I
finally found someone who made my dog livable and my
life calm. Blaze is a
Portuguese Water Dog. He’s a strong, dominant alpha
type. We brought him home at 9 weeks old, and since that
day, he’s been love-biting everyone. We have 2 young
boys and an adult daughter and a busy household. Blaze
loves to be in the middle of everything, barking,
biting, kissing and generally “running the show.” He
would constantly bite all the kids – not meanly, but out
of love and playfulness, but still, this was
inappropriate and annoying. I’d been seeking
help from all the professionals with nothing working. I
was told to squirt him with water – he loved it; shake a
can – he lunged at the can; give him “time out” in his
crate – he didn’t even connect the two; yell, “No,” then
praise – didn’t work. Finally, Bob, you
taught me how dogs learn and behave so I could be an
“effective teacher.” By using a collar and leash tug
associated with a loud, “No,” I was able to duplicate
the mother dog’s bite and bark. “Voila!” A humbled dog! I’m still amazed at
how fast this worked. That was just one area you helped
me in. The list goes on and on. I now have a
loveable, obedient, 1 year old Portuguese Water Dog who
fits in our family without all the unmanageable
behaviors. I am forever in your debt. Besides all of
this, you’re a great guy and I’m honored that our paths
have crossed. Thanks again!
Robin
Bob,
We cannot tell you
how impressed we were by your skills and most of all by
your kindness in helping us to train two loving and
wonderful dogs who just needed the proper guidance. They
are doing excellent and now we can all enjoy each other
in ways we never would have without you. We will be
recommending you as often as we can. Thank you!
Amy, Donna and Ralph
Dear Bob,
We have seen a vast
improvement in Sasha's behavior since our sessions with
you. The gentle leader is by far a much better way to
control her. She still has issues with other dogs while
out walking, but it's just a matter of redirecting her
and continuing on without giving her much chance to
misbehave. Hopefully in time she will get beyond that,
but it's not so much of a problem now. The advice you
gave us to have people ignore her, and do not just pet
her, has worked out very well, and she is starting to
accept more and more people as part of her trusted group
of friends. Overall she seems to be getting happier week
by week. We're sure it was a huge adjustment for her to
go from her previous life to ours, but overall she seems
happy and content; she wags her tail more and more, and
just seems happy to curl up in her bed and sleep. She is
a rescue success story so far, and the whole family
loves her dearly and shows her lots of affection and
praise. Thank you for your insight and common sense
approach. What was a struggle is now a matter of routine
and precautions. Adjusting our behavior was easier and
got better results than trying to make her do things she
didn't understand. Thanks again for
your expertise and insight. Robin & John
Hi Bob!
We thought we would
include a note to let you know how well Brady is doing.
We are really happy with his progress. We constantly
receive compliments on how well-behaved he is –
especially since “he is just a puppy.” We recently had a
big family reunion and Brady did awesome! He stayed on
his mat, even when people were eating around him – and
he didn’t jump on anyone even in all the excitement to
see each new person arrive! We rarely use his
collar now because he responds so well to his name, “No”
and “Come.” We are having a great time with Brady –
especially in the snow. He loves the snow! Of course we still
have our regressive moments and there are many skills
that we need to practice – but we feel like you have
given us the knowledge and know-how to get to the
results we are looking for. Thank you so much
for all of your help! Please feel free to use us as a
reference. Carol, John,
Michael . . . and Brady
Good morning, Bob!
Just a quick note
to let you know that Rocky is a very good student. He
loves to “work.” We are using the word, “work” (“Rocky,
let’s do some work”) when we do the crate and mat
training. We’ve been surprised and delighted at how well
he is doing. It’s even more rewarding to see how happy
and proud he is when he does a good job. So just want to
say, “Thank You,” for all you have done to help us get
Rocky started on the right track. Elaine
Hi Bob,
Just wanted to drop
you a quick note to let you know how awesome Zena is
doing. We have our sweet girl back and even better than
before! We can't thank you enough for all of your help
in getting us back on track. It is amazing what a
tune-up can do. I am happy to report she did awesome
with our recent house guest; she was the life of the
party. She was happy and playful. Thank you for sharing
your gift with us. We so appreciate
all you do and how you do it. It's a true gift you have
and we are spreading the word every chance we get! Sincerely,
Bob, Mary, Keith & Zena
Dear Bob,
I wanted to say
thank you for all your help with our Weimaraner, Emilee.
Your help has been invaluable. The training techniques
were very easy to learn for us and our puppy in your
puppy program. Emilee responded to all the training
amazingly fast. She now is going on six months and our
friends who laughed about us hiring you are now amazed
at the finished results. We can't thank you enough, it
was money well spent! If you ever need a reference,
please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again! Miguel & Amy
Dear Bob,
Thanks for
everything. We have a great puppy, thanks to you. I've
really appreciated your wisdom (both dog-wise and
people-wise). We wish you all the best. We will
recommend you to all that need doggie behavior help.
Bless you, Susan, AJ & kids
Bob, Thanks so much for
all of your help with Sonny. He is really starting to
shape up! He has a special bond with my younger son (the
one he used to attack!) Thanks again. Kim (from
Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic)
Hi Bob,
I want to thank you
for your help with Corduroy. He is doing so much better,
and much calmer, too. He hasn’t gone crazy when we leave
or at the fence. I am using the remote trainer only
occasionally. My voice has so much more power, he really
made the association quickly. He wears the collar on
“non-interactive” mode most of the time, so I am feeling
quite good. Carol (from Lower
Bucks Dog Training)
Hey Bob!
I wanted to thank
you for coming over last night. Because of what you told
me I had my first peaceful night’s sleep in weeks. You
have no idea how scared I was that I would hear, “Maybe
you need to find a new home for one of them.” What a
load off my mind now!!! The “girls” and I
have started anew. They’re not up on any furniture
anymore. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that we
can ALL live together peacefully. Again, thanks for
your training last night. It was much appreciated. I’m
sure I’ll be in touch again. After we learn how to
behave and live together in peace, I would love to work
on some other issues. Maybe a few commands? I want to
impress everyone with my dogs and their new found
manners/knowledge!! Jenn
Hi Bob,
I am writing you to
let you know that I recommend you to anyone and everyone
I know that is having issues with their dogs – because
you helped us tremendously in many, many ways. My vet
recommends you based on my comments. My vet is Beth, who
works at Delaware Valley Animal Hospital. Once again,
thanks for your help. Beth, Chris and Zoe
Dear Bob,
Many thanks for the
enjoyable and entertaining afternoon you provided for
the Senior Citizens group at Immaculate Conception
Church in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. It was an extremely
interesting and educational program and demonstration.
Your dogs are beautiful, and so well-behaved. Thanks
again for your time.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Spencer
I really liked your
approach in that it's the dog and family that are in
training. You explained from an evaluation what's going
on in Jazz' head. That it's a game and we need to use a
combination of tools )which you have taught us) to
change the game. Moreover, you demonstrated the
techniques on Jazz successfully and then taught us step
by step and made us demonstrate our proficiency (or lack
thereof)! Also, when you run over the hour session as
you frequently do, you don't just stop abruptly. You've
built in time for questions, repetition, etc.

Bob has done a great job
working with us to correct our dog's behavioral issues
and to lay out a plan for an Pet Safe fence system. Both
strategies have worked great.
